Welcome to FinancialVibrancy.org!

FinancialVibrancy.org is a hub of peer-to-peer learning for Ontario’s community-based employment and training sector (CBET). It is an online community of practice where leaders and practitioners can learn from others and share their own experiences. It is part of a process to build organizational capacity from within.

The insights on this site are actual experiences of leaders within this sector, shared by them in their own words.

In the increasingly uncertain funding environment, financially vibrant organizations are not dependent on any one funder. To attract investment and diversify funding, financially vibrant organizations think and act holistically. They are adaptable to change. They are effective in all organizational functions.  And they deliver outstanding results in their community.

FinancialVibrancy.org is designed to help agencies:

  • Learn from the experiences of leaders “in their own words”
  • Identify practical steps to enhance their organization’s effectiveness
  • Develop their agency’s action plans for financial vibrancy
  • Share experiences, success stories and resources to build capacity within the sector.

How to Use this Site?

First step, determine what financial vibrancy means for your agency.  The Self-Assessment Tool will help you define your agency’s goals.

Next, reflect on the nine interrelated ‘paths’ that are critical to building effective, financially vibrant organizations. Search content using the left drop-down menus or search keywords (or tags) by using the Tag Cloud. The Tag Cloud helps access the multiple points of interconnection within the paths.

The site is designed using advanced Web 2.0 technologies to build networked communities and share knowledge in a participatory way.

Tips on Selecting a Consultant

Do your research ahead of time so you know what you want a consultant to bring to the process (e.g., advise on an ad hoc basis, train, carry out a project such as a strategic plan).
